In New Delhi, a CEO of an online shopping company named Vivek Gaur was arrested by the police in connection with cheating cases. The company raised investments from small businesses and investors in India and abroad, sourced raw materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR region, and issued cheques in return. Subsequently, the company declared itself insolvent and shut down. There were five complaints filed against him. The incident dates back to 2011, when he and an associate launched an online shopping company in Gurgaon. Vivek Gaur served as the CEO, while his friend was the COO of the company, specializing in online retailing of garments and accessories.
